Facts and Trends A Look at New Jersey’s Subprime Mortgages in Foreclosure PDF
The first article in the new series, Community Affairs Forum: Facts & Trends, reports New Jersey's ratio of subprime mortgages in foreclosure is the nation's fifth highest, which exceeds the U.S. figure. However, there is considerable variation within the state, with most foreclosure activity concentrated in a few groups of zip codes with low to moderate household incomes

The Enduring Challenge of Concentrated Poverty in America: Case Studies from Communities Across the U.S. offsite
In 2006, the Community Affairs Offices of the Federal Reserve System partnered with the Brookings Institution to examine the issue of concentrated poverty. The resulting report, The Enduring Challenge of Concentrated Poverty in America: Case Studies from Communities Across the U.S., profiles 16 high-poverty communities from across the country, including immigrant gateway, Native American, urban and rural communities. Through these case studies, the report contributes to our understanding of the dynamics of people living in low-income communities, and the policies that will be needed to bring both into the economic mainstream.

Credit Conditions in the United States
This site provides data illustrating mortgage and credit conditions in the United States through dynamic maps and spreadsheets. There is detailed information on bank credit card delinquencies, mortgage delinquencies and nonprime mortgage conditions. Information is provided at zip code, county and state levels depending upon the variable.

Describes economic conditions in areas of concentrated poverty in the Second District and innovative programs that address these conditions.

Financing Community Development: Learning from the Past, Looking to the Future offsite

County Economic and Demographic Data Series
The County Economic and Demographic Data series provide a description of the demographic, education, income, employment and housing conditions for persons residing in 25 counties located in the Second Federal Reserve District. The information provided is based on Census data for 2000 to 2004.
